You are warmly invited to join me in the peaceful and beautiful garden at St Ethelwold’s House, a sanctuary for community and mindful connection with the natural world.
In this hands-on, sensory, and immersive natural dyes workshop we will explore the subtle, surprising colours found in plants — working with foliage, pruning and floral material from the garden to create natural dye baths and discover how botanical elements transform cloth.
You will learn how to gather materials mindfully, experiment with leaves, trimmings and floral waste, and create your own one-of-a-kind hand-dyed botanical silk bandana, shaped by this season in the garden.
We will also explore how to repurpose and incorporate floral waste and garden trimmings, honouring the environment and the stewardship of this lovely space. By working slowly with what is already around us, we celebrate sustainability and the simple joy of community.
